Mark

I am the son of missionaries David and Crissie Boyd. I was born in the Netherlands in the town of Eindhoven. I lived most of my life in the town of Veghel, where my parents have planted a church. I was six when I was saved. My parents found out about a lie that I told at school. My dad shared with me that this lie was a sin, and that I was a sinner. I trusted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior that day. I was baptized when I was 14 and also dedicated my life to any service for God.
I became more involved with my parents’ ministry and started teaching, preaching, and falling in love with ministry. I attended a public high school in Holland and after graduating I came to the States to study at Faith Baptist Bible College. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Studies with an emphasis in Greek and Counseling. During college I became burdened for church planting. I then attended the Seminary at Faith and received a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies. While in seminary, I saw a video produced by BMM and felt the Lord calling me into church planting; specifically in Europe. Through a survey trip taken in 2008, God clearly directed me and my wife to the country of Germany

Leslie

I grew up in the small town in Russell, Iowa, and attended the First Baptist Church there. I was saved at the age of five after my first day of Joy Club. I expressed an interest in knowing how to become saved to my pastor’s wife, and was saved that same day. I was baptized at the age of ten, and dedicated my life to the Lord shortly after while attending a camp. At the age of twelve I was challenged by a speaker in my home church to consider missions. I went forward that day and told the Lord that I was willing to go wherever He might send me.
I graduated from Russell Community High School. In order to get missionary training, I attended Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa. There I received a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in Missions. As a part of my requirements, I went on a MAP, or missionary apprenticeship program, and spent six weeks in Germany. While there I spent time learning from a missionary couple involved in church planting in southern Germany. God used this experience to show me that He did want me in missions and to develop in me an interest in church planting.

Our Ministry
We applied and were accepted at Baptist Mid-Missions in 2008. We started full time deputation in 2009 and saw God provide for our needs in marvelous ways. We finished up deputation in May 2012. We boarded a plane for Nuremberg Germany on June 5, 2012 for our first term of ministry. Since then, we have been involved in learning the language and adjusting to the German culture.
We assist veteran missionaries Jeff and Linda Brown in their church plant in Nuremberg. We are involved in many facets of
the ministry of the church. We both teach, train, host, and help out in any way we can.
We moved in September 2015 to the city of Neumarkt where we are working on starting a new church. God is growing our core group and God is building His church.
