History A quick history of our lives and ministry. •	David was born in The Netherlands. His parents (Herb and Ruth) pioneered the field for BMM in 1954. •	Crissie was born in Waterloo, IA, but her parents (Rusty and Norma Young) took her to Guadeloupe at the age of 3 months, and later to France. •	We met at Faith Baptist Bible College (Ankeny, IA) in 1976. We married in 1979. •	We moved to the Netherlands in 1983. •	We worked in Veghel since 1985 and started a church. That work ended when the Lord led us to move in 2019 •	We moved to Bergen op Zoom in June 2021, where we serve in our son’s Church, teach courses and support churches in “the South”. Family We have three children. •	Daniel and Heather have 3 boys, we work with them in the Evangelical Baptist Church in Bergen op Zoom. They have a section on BoydsinEurope. •	Mark and Leslie have 8 children, and they work in Germany, just 8 hours from us. They too have a section on BoydsinEurope. •	Nathan and Rebekah have 4 children and live and work in Cedar Rapids, IA. Click below on “Pictures” to see a picture from February 2023 of all the Boyds in Europe and more recent family picture. Furlough ~ 2023 and 2025 We finished up our interrupted 2023 furlough on April 29, 2025. We stayed in NJ for part of March, with one trip “down south”. In April we travelled to the Midwest to visit two churches, family (6 grandkids!) and friends. We flew back to the Netherlands on Tuesday, April 29; arriving back on the 30th. Prayer request. Our car in the Netherlands was vandalized, and set on fire. It was totalled, so we have to find a new car shortly after we get back to the field. Insurance has already paid the value of the totaled car, but please pray for wisdom. Missions work cannot be accomplished by a “pioneer, going it alone”. Missionaries need partners. •	We are pleased to have 12 supporting churches, who partner with us in prayer and financial support. •	Besides that we have many individuals, who partner in prayer support, some of them also support us financially. •	We also partner with our Mission board, Baptist Mid-Missions. Without them we would be “all on our own out there” in so many ways. Partnerships
